Chaaya
Babuji's eldest daughter is a divorcee who has let life's hard knocks take a toll on her. She often finds fault with people. She supports Pallavi in her battle against Parvati, but soon realises the error of her ways.



Preeti
The second child of Maa and Babuji, Preeti lives with her parents. She is a great source of support to Neeraj and Mitali, and loves and admires Parvati.



Sonali
Sonali is the second daughter of Maa and Babuji. She is the prettiest of the lot and is engaged. But when the groom's parents demand dowry, the Agrawal family refuses and the wedding is cancelled. Sonali's friend Tushar then agrees to marry her. But her in-laws do not accept her, since they are richer than she is and come from a different family background.

Sonali's fate takes a turn for the worse when she is raped. When she does emerge from this trauma, it is only to discover that she is pregnant. Sonali is then torn apart by the thought that this child might not be her husband's - but of the man who raped her.
